The Spiral Cafe (07-8922-660) in Raurimu serves awesome snacks and meals throughout the day. It is an easy walk down the hill to Raurimu Road (turn right at the bottom of the hill and the café entrance is the first driveway on the left). Its hours vary but will be displayed on the door. The Spiral Cafe is licensed and on occasion does offer evening dining on weekends. Runner-up in the Cafe Magazine 2009 Best Cafe Awards.

Slalom Lodge (turn left at the bottom of the hill) is licensed and also does sit-down and takeaway meals. It is however normally only open in the ski season.

The closest all year pub/bar is the National Park Hotel. Go up to National Park, and take the first right past the 80kmh sign – the Hotel is down about three blocks. They also do meals and takeaways but are sometimes booked out for private functions.
