Sadly Out of the Fog closed recently – we’re not sure why as it was always busy every time we were over that way – it’s sad when these brave ventures don’t work out, especially in this little rurla towns that were once so vibrant.
- Stagga Inn in Manunui about 5km this side of Taumarunui (check out the Stagga Burger!!).
- Krammers Takeaways by the Caltex station in Manunui. Affordable and yummy!
- Ruddies Café in the main street in Taumarunui, next to the Paper Plus.
- The Copper Kettle in Taumarunui (turn left at the ANZ and it is about 30 metres on your left). (Great carrot cake and lamb shanks).
- Flax Café in Taumarunui, opposite the BP just before the bridge on the way north out of town.
- Mountain Rocks opposite the Information Centre in Ohakune.
- Mustard Seed opposite the BP in Turangi.
